Counselling & Psychotherapy
Danielle Simpson
I began my Counselling practice journey after many years of deliberating around where my true passion lay. People often recognised an ability in me to withdraw, or see emotion they try to keep hidden. Understanding eventually that I had a deep empathy for others, I sought out multiple training in 2018.
Today, I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist recognised as an MBACP registered member - 394460.
After my own experience with a counsellor, I realised person-centred therapy helped me feel the most connected. To me, alternative modalities felt like quick fixes or focused heavily on a person’s past, rather than incorporating this into seeing who they are today.
My focus as a therapist is to ensure you feel safe and comfortable sharing at your own pace. My initial aim is to build a therapeutic alliance with you so that you begin to trust me enough to open up. I have experience working with adults and children aged 10 and older within established organisations such as MIND and Place2Be, and in London primary and secondary schools.
Your face-to-face session will commence within my private practice, a secure confidential space that remains consistent. Alternatively, online Zoom sessions can make therapy more accessible for you.
